C 87 - Anonymize Public Health Case Reporting Data Component

The Anonymize Public Health Case Reporting Data Component provides specific instructions for anonymizing data that was created as part of routine clinical care data delivery in preparation for repurposing data for public health case reporting. This construct defines the Component specification that provides the ability to anonymize patient identifiable information. Anonymization, according to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), is the process that removes the association between the identifying data set and the data subject.
